I am so surprised that Christian Kane and his band, Kane, have not become more of a sensation since winning the New Country Band of the Year for 2006. I'm also surprised that they haven't put out a CD since then. I've seen references to the fact that there was a debut album sometime along the line, but they are no longer on the market, and I haven't been able to find a used copy. My absolute infatuation with Christian since his movie "Her Minor Thing" and his subsequent performance on the weekly series "Leverage" led me to discover his musical talent. I saw Kane in concert in Portland earlier this month, and I was SO impressed with their music and the energy they put into their performance. But they should really be known out there. For one thing, females who discover Christian can't help but swoon over his absolutely phenomenal looks and innate sex appeal! On the other hand, there is his genuine appreciation for and devotion to his fan -- accompanied by a quiet modesty that reveal the charm of a southern gentleman. Then there are his superb music-writing and singing talents -- and his versatile acting skills. The man's got it all! And I mustn't leave out the band: Kane can do country-rock like nobody's business, but Christian can turn right around and sing the most beautiful, soulful original ballads with equal finesse. (His accoustic album with Steve Carlson in London is just wonderful.) So with all this, why isn't Kane out there front and center? I don't know the business so I don't know who could/should be doing what -- but I'd like to know...
