I auditioned for the 2009 Rising Star Talent Competition back in May. (www.ginasweet.com/vidsnpics.cfm).

I found out yesterday that I've landed a spot in the preliminary round! Wish me luck. Come out to The Ex on August 31st to watch, and look out for Gina Sweet.

It'll be the biggest crowd I've ever played a country song for. If my singing makes them cheer, I'll be at the semi-final and finals; just a new country singer-songwriter and her guitar. I can use all the country music fans I can get out in the crowd.
